Call 503.239.9663 for current pricing and inventory

Western Red Cedar is a Northwest gem and an invaluable part of our coastal landscape, and is sought for its classic beauty and ability to withstand years of exposure in outdoor applications. Ours is harvested and milled locally and certified by the Forest Stewardship Councilā„¢ to ensure responsible sourcing.

PLACE
Western Red Cedar (Thuja plicata) is a native conifer that grows along the western part of the Pacific Coast.  We exclusively source our local cedar from FSC Certified forests and restoration projects in the Northwest and partner with a family owned sawmill just 30 minutes from Portland.

PURPOSE
Known for its natural rot resistance, Western Red Cedar is ideal for outdoor structures and exterior applications such as siding, decking, fencing, trim, fascia and soffits and makes a beautiful, naturally aromatic wall & ceiling paneling for interiors. Responsible stewardship helps ensure that the old growth trees and ultimate health of the forests are protected.

PEOPLE
We work with small businesses and local fabrication shops who cut, dry and make a variety of the useful products we offer in local Western Red Cedar.
