Local sourcing minimizes our carbon footprint, while supporting Tribal Enterprises in our region.

PLACE
Incense Cedar (Calocedrus decurrens) is an evergreen conifer, but is in the cypress family.   It grows along the west coast of the US.   We source ours from the well-managed forests of the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians near Roseburg Oregon. Local sourcing minimizes our carbon footprint, while supporting Tribal Enterprises in our region.

PURPOSE
Known for its natural rot resistance, Incense Cedar is ideal for exterior applications such as siding, fencing, trim, fascia and soffits and makes a beautiful, aromatic wall & ceiling paneling for interiors.  It has a fine grain, is easy to work with, and is not as red in coloring as Western Red Cedar.   It is the most fire and drought resistant conifer species, which may serve us well as our climate changes.
