Bigleaf Maple, also known as Pacific Maple, is one of the most abundant hardwood species in the Pacific Northwest. Its warm monochromatic color palette works well in both contemporary and traditional interiors. Ours is exclusively sourced from local, well-managed FSC Certified forests.
PLACE
Our Bigleaf Maple (Acer macrophyllum) is sourced from FSC® certified forests in Oregon and Washington, and is one of the most commercially significant wood species in the Pacific Northwest.
PURPOSE
FSC Certification ensures responsible sourcing to meet sustainability goals of LEED and Living Building Challenge Projects. Bigleaf Maple is well suited for flooring, furniture, butcher block, wall cladding and cabinet applications.
PEOPLE
Makers & Woodworkers enjoy Bigleaf Maple because it is affordable, easy to work with and has a uniform color and grain pattern, but many of our customers are drawn to the more unusual figured boards for the interesting patterns, quilting, and curl.
