Big Leaf Maple
Big Leaf Maple, also known as Pacific Maple, is one of the most abundant and commercially important native species in the Pacific Northwest.
Maple is well suited for flooring, furniture and cabinet applications. Colors range from cream to salmon, and the grain often has a depth that gives it a silky or even three-dimensional look. Big Leaf Maple is easy to work with and typically very uniform, but many of our customers are drawn to the figured boards for the interesting patterns, quilting, and curl.
PEOPLE AND PLANET
Our Big Leaf Maple is carefully removed from FSC® certified private lands in Oregon's Willamette Valley and in South Central Washington. We then work with small mills to custom cut the trees and produce the grain patterns and colors that our customers seek.
We offer Big Leaf Maple tongue & groove flooring, as well as 4/4, 5/4, 6/4 and 8/4 lumber in grades that can be used for furniture, cabinetry, wall cladding and other interior goods. We also offer unique and beautifully figured live-edge maple slabs that are perfect for exposed shelving, countertops, bars, and other display surfaces.
