Featured in prominent projects like the Timberline Lodge, Oregon White Oak is consistently identified with the Northwest.

Found in the Willamette Valley and throughout Western Oregon, the Oregon White Oak is the only species of oak tree native to the Pacific Northwest.  This tree is exceptionally long-lived and resilient, growing up to 100 feet tall and living for up to 500 years.  Its sweet acorns are relished by livestock and wildlife and were a staple food for Native Americans.

This hardwood is known for its cool color tones, ranging from vanilla to golden champagne.  It is very hard and is excellent for use as flooring, furniture, cabinetry, and other interior applications.

Sustainable Northwest Wood’s Oregon White Oak is sourced from forests in the Willamette Valley and milled locally.  It comes from members of the Healthy Forests, Healthy Communities partnership.  We stock 4/4 and thicker, random lengths and widths, and can custom mill different sizes and products.

We also offer FSC-certified, architectural-grade Oregon White Oak panels that are perfect for cabinetry, furniture, and other exceptional interior applications. These panels are available in 1/4" and 3/4" thick sheets, each 4' by 8'.
