Sustainable Northwest Wood is pleased to introduce Willamette Valley Walnut flooring to our stock.
This flooring is milled from beetle damaged trees salvaged from backyards in the Willamette Valley. Many of the walnut trees brought to the Pacific Northwest by early immigrants have become victims of a fast-spreading disease transmitted by beetles, called Thousand Cankers Disease, and become hazard trees that require removal from backyards.
Sustainable Northwest Wood works with local mills to salvage the logs from these trees and turn them into beautiful, functional flooring. Our kiln-dried solid hardwood walnut flooring is end-matched and comes with 4", 5", and 6" face widths and lengths between 24" and 8'.
It is character-grade and features the walnut's natural chocolate-and-vanilla color variation with occasional burgundy accents (see photo at top right).
